PACKAGE NAME ------------ neko_libxml2 DESCRIPTION ----------- Libxml2 is the XML C parser and toolkit developed for the Gnome project (but usable outside of the Gnome platform), it is free software available under the MIT License. XML itself is a metalanguage to design markup languages, i.e. text language where semantic and structure are added to the content using extra "markup" information enclosed between angle brackets. HTML is the most well-known markup language. Though the library is written in C a variety of language bindings make it available in other environments. For more info, see: http://www.xmlsoft.org/ SOURCE/VERSION -------------- libxml2-2.9.9 / 9 IRIX/MIPSPRO VERSION -------------------- 6.5.22m / 7.4.4m ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES --------------------- setenv CC c99 setenv CFLAGS '-O2 -mips4 -n32 -diag_error 1035' setenv CPPFLAGS -I/usr/nekoware/include setenv LDFLAGS -L/usr/nekoware/lib setenv PERL /usr/nekoware/bin/perl setenv TAR /usr/nekoware/bin/bsdtar For building on mips3 systems, use: setenv CFLAGS '-O2 -mips3 -n32 -diag_error 1035' CONFIGURE --------- ./configure --without-python --with-zlib --with-lzma --prefix=/usr/nekoware BUILD ----- gmake gmake tests gmake install KNOWN DEPENDENCIES ------------------ gmake to build the package neko_zlib.sw.lib 9 neko_xz.sw.lib 5 neko_libiconv.sw.lib 5 ERRORS/MISCELLANEOUS -------------------- The testsuite fails on EBCDIC conversion, which IRIX has no support for. Just let it be, it's a shit system anyway... Python bindings have not been included in the package, since i don't have python ready yet and also it's a fairly large dependency. This package has dual support for both mips3 and mips4 architecture, controlled by the mach(CPUARCH=R4000) switch for libraries and executables.
